Two lads who love to BBQ.... made BBQs..... the end.

Ok, I'll give a bit more! I'm @hanks_bbq and I have a mild obsession with BBQ'ing. I started off with a Weber Kettle handed down from the father-in-law. When that rusted and fell to bits I got a gas BBQ (don't judge me I was young and niaive.) I then got the Xmas present that changed it all. My friend James bought me a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker for Xmas and the obsession with low and slow cooking began. Like most people who get into this, I started following all the great BBQ cooks on instagram and found that the Kamado style BBQ was the most versatile and efficient of them all. I yearned for a Kamado and one birthday my wife got me a Kamado Joe Jnr. This was the best bit of kit I'd ever had, and the obsession went onto new heights where literally every bit of meat we ever ate was cooked on this little lad.

Then came the time where I needed the Big One! I cook on my Kamado nearly every day so the investment would be justified but the price of the big Kamado Joes and Big Green Eggs were just insane! I saw some non-branded versions for cheaper but I almost felt like it would be like wearing a fake watch. I didn't want my Kamado to look like a KJ or a BGE if it actually wasn't. And after a while, I looked at the dimpled look of them all and realised........ they're not actually that aesthetically pleasing, we've just been conditioned that this is what a Kamado BBQ should look like!

So I asked if I could have a different version made. I hunted down a manufacturer who could make something different with a diamond cut design, something that would stand out, something that was quality and would last a life time, but also something that wouldn't break the bank. We played with designs, got some samples and road tested them. We've made some tweaks and now you have the Diamond Kamado Grill. 

Why call it the Diamond Kamado Grill and not some other cool brand name? I'm pretty sure once people see how good these look, there'll be copy cats coming in their droves. You can fight it or make peace with it. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery right? We're Diamond Kamado Grills because we're the first, the original, the OG with this beautiful Kamado design.
